Who are David Headley,Hussain Rana, their crimes - Full story.

Hii everyone.Its high time for justice for all those who lost their lives and their special ones in one of the worst terrorist attacks in history, 26/11 Mumbai attacks.David headley and Rana are making big news these days.Lets see what all is this matter and what was their involvement.Whats the current situation.Lets analyse from very beginning.

Who is David Coleman Headley  ? What he did wrong ? Where all he was involved in mumbai attacks ?


 

• Born on june30,1960 in Washington DC.
•  Family based in america.father(Sayed Salim Gilani) worked for Voice of america.Mother(Serrill Headley) worked as secretary in pakistan embassy in washington.
•  Parents split in mid 1960's.father obtained custody of children.Moved to pakistan.
•  In 1977, Serill headley moved him to united states.He married in 1985, divorced in 1987.
•  In 1987, arrested for drug charges.
•  In 1997,arrested for smuggling drugs from pakistan to his country.
•  In 2002, he married his girlfriend(8 years affair) in New York.
•  same year,his wife complained to the FBI of his involvement with Lashkar-e-Taiba, that he has been extensively trained in its camps.
•  In 2006, he changed his name to david headley to make migration to different countries easier.
•  Moved to chicago.Worked with Tahawwur Hussain Rana's immigration agency.
•  Major Iqbal. a pakistani national gave him US $25,000 for conducting surveillance trips of Mumbai for attacks in mumbai(26/11 attacks).

• Had lunch with LeT's Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi and Hafiz Saaed (master mind of 26/11 attacks), where he was told to take the ISI into confidence.
• hafiz sayeed motivated him to carry out jihad( means holy fight) and that satisfaction  of 1 second of jihad was equal to "100 years of worship".

-On December 8, 2009, he was accused by FBI  on the following accounts :
               1. Conspiring to bomb targets in Mumbai.
               2. For providing material support to Lashkar-e-Taiba
               3. Aiding the murder of U.S. citizens in the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

• Headley had told all this on condition that his death sentence should not be pursued and should not be sent to India,Pakistan for trials.
• He pleaded guilty for all charges on March 18, 2010. He faces life in prison and a three million dollar fine when he is sentenced.

Who isTahawwur Hussain Rana ? Was he really not involved in Mumbai blasts ? Why was he not declared guilty by US court ?

• Born on Jan 12,1961 in chichawatni ,pakistan.
• Rana,his wife immigrated to Canada(1997), obtained Canadian citizenship in June 2001.
•  He and his friend david coleman headley were arrested 18th oct,2009 for plotting attacks on the office of newspaper for publishing controversial pics of prophet mohammad.
•  Only during this interrogations, it was found that he had travelled to mumbai in TAj Mahal hotel (that was attacked in 26/11 attacks).So,he was suspected to be involved in these attacks also.However,Rana declined those charges and told that he visited there for business purpose (his business-immigration services).
  
  Only recently he has been tried in chicago court for three charges.

                               1. Providing material support to Lashkar-e-Taiba
                               2: Plotting to bomb a Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten.
                               3: Helping hand in Mumbai attacks of 26/11.

• The arguments in the trial were being heard by a 12-member jury in Chicago.He is sentenced for 30yrs (15yrs each) for first two crimes.He was acquitted(not declared guilty) for third charge.
•  Prosecutors had alleged that he was aware of the mumbai attacks and was in constant touch with all those involved.That without his help.mumbai attacks would have not been possible.But Rana's attorney alleged that headley had fooled him.
•  Mr. Bansal said the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the case against Headley, Rana and others, had decided to wait for proceedings to conclude in the US court before filing a charge sheet in an Indian court against the accused.
