Hello everyone.Today ,we discussing about some technical stuff ,i.e cloud computing.
You might be thinking why I am discussing it now.Actually,You may be aware or not but cloud computing is making good news these days and you must have basic idea about it no matter whats your field of interest is.
JUST BASICS(For those not interested in IT terms)
You must have used gmail or yahoo.Basically,what we do there is that we are not using our own resources.Software is by google, even storage facility is provided by some remote server.There's nothing in our system.Moreover,we can access same information from any location.This is basically cloud computing.One more example is Picassa web albums,Facebook etc.We are using some remote servers for our data storage and are accessing it from various locations.
Now, Whats happening these days is that some IT companies have started providing business solutions to other Non-IT companies, Cloud computing solutions.The situation is that each company has to buy license for using the software.Now for each new employee, software needs to be bought and installed and lots many other tech stuff.With cloud computing,employees can directly access the software through web based system to that IT company.This would prevent a lot of hassle on the part of non-IT companies.
Latest news: TCS rolled out its fully integrated IT solutions for Small and medium businesses(SMB) using cloud computing technology in march,catering to manufacturing, retail, education and wellness sectors.

however it is like putting your life in someone else 's hands.....what about if the compny providing sevices goes into doomness in some years

ReplyDeleteno,its highly secure..even the location of database server is highly confidential and even not told to employees of that company.
